Dr. Butler is Team Leader, Facilitation
for Bachmann Global Associates. She brings more than
20 years of consulting and teaching experience to Bachmann's
clients.
In addition to her duties at Georgia
State University, Deborah is in private practice as
a counselor and coach, doing so since 1982. She has
worked with corporations and individuals, coaching for
performance and for development.
Professor Butler has been a full time
member on the Management faculty at Georgia State's
Robinson College of Business since 1997. During that
time, she has focused on organizational behavior, organizational
theory and coaching for leadership. Deborah is committed
to bringing the world of business into the classroom.
She regularly invites executives to speak to her students,
and she arranges to have her students spend time in
organizations during the semester to observe course
concepts being applied. In addition to her teaching
duties, she directs the Georgia State University Society
of Entrepreneurs, an executive roundtable whose members
lead growth stage companies based in Atlanta.
Deborah earned her BS in Criminology
from Florida State University before receiving her next
three degrees from Georgia State: an M.Ed. in Curriculum
and Instruction, Ph.D. in Counseling and an MS in Management,
specializing in Organizational Behavior and Development.
