matter expert for Bachmann Global Associates, where
he specializes in negotiation and organizational behavior.
Ed's negotiation practice includes
consulting to businesses and conducting training seminars.

they usually leave money on the table." Using a
hands-on, pragmatic approach based on a clear grasp
of current negotiation research, Ed helps groups and
individuals develop strategy for upcoming or current
negotiations. His results include an entrepreneur who
credits a one-time conference with Dr. Miles with saving
him $30,000 on a single real estate transaction.
Professor Miles ranks among his clients Accenture (formerly
Andersen Consulting), BellSouth and the Centers for
Disease Control, and he has authored or co-authored
20 refereed articles in scholarly management journals.
He teaches negotiation and organization behavior in
the MBA program at Georgia State University, where his
courses are regularly filled beyond capacity. His students
report having used course content to improve their results
by thousands of dollars, often before the course ends.
Professor Miles also lectures on these topics at German
universities in Mannheim, Mosbach and Stuttgart.
Ed earned a Ph.D. in Management from
the University of Georgia. Professor Miles also holds
an MA in Organizational Communication from the University
of Georgia and a BS in Organizational Psychology from
